Gas Pedal Arms
Does anyone know if the gas pedal arms are different between 67-72? I know they were on the floor from 67-70 I was just wondering if the pedal would still fit on the arm of off a 71 72?

Hey bgang- all I know is my 2 GMCs, and the 70 uses a linkage setup, and the pedal mounts to the floorboard on 2 screw in balls. The 72 has a free hanging pedal from a pivot that pulls a cable. Dont know if its the same for Chevy but dont see why not. Also dont know if they made the switch in 71 or 72.

Can't really answer your question, but do know that for my 1971 I used the arm/brackets off from a mid 90's Chevy pickup and it looked to be exactly the same.

The 72 I pulled my parts from had the suspended pedal. I pulled it out to try and make it fit in my 68. It's not a direct bolt in deal, but you make it work if you smooth and fill the old place on the firewall then redrill all the holes. Just make sure to make a template off the 71/72. I didn't want to go through all the work on mine so I put it back in when I sold the 72.
