Re: what cha doin to the truck
Nothing to the truck. The truck and the honey do list has to share my time. Guess who's turn it is. But it is a 3 day weekend and the kids will be at their grandparents Monday.

Re: what cha doin to the truck
drove up to the city to drop off some things and payed a visit to my great-grandparents old home in Bernal Heights...hadn't been there since my dad's cousin cleared things out after her father passed away; about 35yrs ago.
They built right after the '06 quake, great grandad, an early teamster, died sometime in the '30's, great-grandmother ran a cornerstore on the first floor, her son (my dad's uncle) ran a sheetmetal shop out of the garage along the side ... glad to see the house still stands proud at 100yrs+ Photo ca. early 40's: my aunt and grandmother parked out front today w/ my '65 fleetside:

I pulled OLEBLUE out of the garage and went to the Good Guys at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS. I am trouble-shooting the running lights today and replacing the brake light switch and headlight switch.

Re: what cha doin to the truck
Very cool photos, Matt!
Nothing on the truck... but I need to go get a table saw so that I can make speaker enclosures for the speakers I'm putting in the theater (in-walls), and some 90degree angle bits for some soffits that I have to complete for the basement work. "Honey-Dos" for the truck, hopefully soon I can do them: - Install new Edelbrock mani - Install Q-jet (thx 283Man!) - Replace Oilpan Gasket (LEAK!) - Paint Engine - Replace Rusty Fender Liners - Finally Install 3/5 Drop Kit

Re: what cha doin to the truck
im watching my 63 collect dust in the garage. I seem to get it out once a month. next weekend in Flagstaff AZ there is a Route 66 show. They close a few streets downtown and hold the show there. Should be fun. I will have to detail the 63 this week.

Re: what cha doin to the truck
Had to work yesterday - and had company in town, maybe more today and tomorrow... I may get to mow - oh boy.
Doubt I'll get much done on the truck - or wagon. |

You're going 30mph in that photo!
By the way, I think that's a very cool cluster idea.

combined with and I got my whole front doghouse apart right now due to some "cleaning" that got a little out of hand. All I wanted to do was install my new (to me) grille, then I decided I should paint the core support, then I discovered that you can't really get it out without removing the grille support, next thing you know, it looks like this: After you go thru all the trouble to do that (especially those long stovebolts that hold the core support to the frame), it's a cakewalk to here: There, now that's a little easier to work on. See the pile of crud on the driveway. That's from using a screwdriver and a wire brush to scrape crud from that one set of control arms. You guys can't imagine how much I've scraped off over the last 4 months; the entire front crossmember, frame, suspension, and everything else was covered with 25 years of oil and dirt that baked in the sun for 15 years after that. There were places that had stuff caked inches thick. I promise you, my truck weighs at least 50 pounds less than it did when I got it. I took at least 15 pounds of mud dauber's nests off the underside too.
