gauge cluster ideas

As Im getting a full custom interior for my 79 crew cab , I need to do something about the cluster.. I have looked and looked , but nothing that turns me on, yet. I have looked at the digitals, and I really haven't found anything.. Must fit into the factory dash pad.

Here are few different ones:

And 73gmc454's gauge bezel is probably my all time favorite

What about DD's VHX series?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: gauge cluster ideas

While cost effective, IMHO I don't think Iroc gauges would match the caliber of effort done toward the interior (based on pics of the panels).

My buddy did the VHX gauge set-up after looking into doing some AutoMeter gauges. We discussed the effort required to make the Autometers fit 'correctly' (for optimal appearance) as well as price. He did the VHX's & said they were an easy install, look nice, & work well.

Exactly. Probably 300 less than a nice set of autometer

They were pretty close w/the VHX costing more. But the VHX series gauges required very little effort on the install vs the AutoMeters. I recall he mentioned he had them in & functioning in a single effort (afternoon/day) of work.
