Went to Car Show...PICS

Went to local car show this morning that just keeps getting bigger...last year had over 700 vehicles there...when I pulled in gate today was in the 520's at 9a.m. haven't heard the final tally but was a lot came in after me...If you live within 100 miles this is a don't miss show...totally free and has burnout contest at end of day...its in Poplar, NC outside of Erwin, TN and is hosted by a club called the Carolina Pushrodz...good family event..anyway no parts but some cool stuff only had cell phone and didn't take pics like I should have but did snap a few...I know its not all examples of our truck, but was examples of cool

wished you could have made it...the pics I posted in no way give a good example of what all was there, had the wife and 19 month old in tow and wife is 7 months pregnant so wasn't the most fun I've had at a show but glad I could share the moment with them

I was there, 2nd year for me......awesome show.....no cost to attend other than gas to get there and eats, nice family event, some quality rides showed up, one of the best shows I have attended , great BBQ too!! Had to be upwards of 700 vehicles? ......and no rain while I was there!

I brought my medium blue with white top 84 GMC SWB, 2 inch cowl hood with 17" grey center torq thrusts, parked on the back side of the upper field......close to the shade!

saw your truck good looking ride....i was in my 2002 subaru forester parked on other side of road in spectator parking...lol my truck didn't make it out of shop in time was hoping to have it for fall rod run and got more done than hoped in past few weeks but not enough to make poplar...i grew up in Marshall/Leicester area and had never saw your truck before...where abouts do you live...my dad was a pastor on Big Pine from 70's to the late 90's...bought a place in Burnsville a couple years back but just sold it and am looking to move to Madison or Buncombe again...wasn't prepared when sold so trying to scramble and find a place to rent

i'm originally from Laurel (hwy 208), born and grew up there, but live in brush creek now....know big pine pretty well too....which church did your dad pastor at? or what was his name? I got some car buddies that live in Burnsville...really like it over there but its hard to beat Madison too. I've had the blue truck since the mid nineties...totaled it in 97, me and my dad rebuilt it over the next 4 or 5 years. my dad is now in his 70's, still in good health and still likes shows and hot rods so we try to go to as many as we can together....heard about the poplar show last year and decided to go....they had 400+ in the rain last year so we had to go back this year....but dang its a drive!

Just picked up a 72 c10 deluxe that my dad and I are starting on now so I had to join this site! Just searching out parts and pieces for it now.

My buddy told me about this show last year. He said the drive from Newport to Erwin is amazing. I may try to make this one next year if it doesn't conflict with another show the same weekend. Just make sure to keep me reminded about it.
