Hmmm.....Might not be a bad idea for me to take mine apart and check. I'd hate to cut a hole for no reason but then again I'd hate to not and have a bunch of crud in there.

Wonder if that guy ever got his pet badger??? He'd be right at home in there.... and if ever needed, he'd probably kick the truck monkeys a$$.

In the bottom near the kick panel there is a weep hole big enough for a giants tears if you can get to it or you may have to remove the heater and use a heater hose or something on a vacumm cleaner.

Re: Pixie and Dixie Evicted

Take out the kick panel vent. You can reach inside with a vacuum nozzle (small one) and clean it out. I also used an air hose to move the stuff around so I could get to it all. You can see the back of the vent in the picture.

Open the vent, on the top is a rod that the bottom of the rod is held by a spring clip. Push up on the clip and down on the rod and out comes the vent.

Re: Pixie and Dixie Evicted

Here is a suggestion for you guys that do cut the outside of the vent open to clean it out, like richard did. Any truck I do this to I make a patch panel that I put seam sealer on and rivit on so that if it has to be pulled off again it cna be somewhat easily done. Plus I bedliner the inside area like crazy when I do that.
