heavy half ton

My 67 chevy came as a heavy half ton. And I was wondering what the springs, mounting brakets, and plates that go on the trailing arms is worth. I am not sure if I am going to sell them, but if my mom lets me I can sell them if anyone is interested.

i have seen people ask $60 for a pair of them at swap meets..... but i had those 1/4 arc springs on my truck and they went into the dumpster.... but you might want to try and sell them..... i threw out to much stuff that was actually worth some money. ohh well

yeah, before I throw anything i will try and sell it or give it away. i just kind of need some money. I had never heard of them until I bought my pickup. I didn't like them because I will never haul anything.

There is no such thing as a heavy half in the 67 - 72 trucks...that is a 73 - 87 thing.
Sounds like you simply have the overload spring option. The 6 lug wheels make many ppl automaticly assume heavy half, but there is no such animal.

The heavy duty front and rear spring options (F60 and G50), like on my 70 GMC, might be considered the early heavy half but they didn't start calling trucks "Heavy Half" until 1973.

I just assumed that was what it was called because that is what my granpa called it. All it is, is a little more than 1/4 of a leafspring.
