Trick to installing lower molding on door
Does anyone know a trick to installing the front clip nut on the lower molding on the doors , the door hing is in the way and the further you open the door the less room you have to place the cap nut on the treads . I think if I had a 5 year old around they may be able to get the nut on .

I used a "barrel clip" (I think that what they are called) to put mine on. It is a round clip that pushes into the hole and clicks in place. Then the trim clip stud is pushed into it and is captured. I got mine at a NAPA. Works great in places hard to get to.

I used a brother-in-law to hold the door after I took it off
I tried a few things, but didnt work. Took a few minutes to unbolt the hinges, he held the door, I put the nut on, then put the door back on.

Ive tried that for about an hour before I said the hell with it and just pulled the door off. That was done in about 10 min.
