Intake Bolts lenght

I am replacing the intake from stock to edlebrock performer series. After removing the old intake I noticed some of the bolts are longer than the others (2 of them). Also I bought set of new bolts for the new intake which appear to be slightly shorter than the stock one (New ones are 1''). How long these bolts are suppose to be? Does it matter if the new ones are a little shorter?
Thanks

Watch out if they're too long. I don't remember which ones, but if they're too long, they'll interfere with the push rods & cause all kinds of havoc.

Could your long ones have been holding down brackets to the intake?

The last two, At the end of the engine. One of them is totally different. I am suspecting that they just put them because they didn't have any thing else! I asked a couple of shops around here and they said all bolts should be the same length. Also, the intake bolt packages that different companies sell all are the same length bolts, therefore, I think they should be the same length (about 1"). I installed the intake and it went well but now , I have different problem!. While I was cahnging the valve covers, one of the bolt broken in in the head! Please read my new thread about broken bolt and give me your insight since I am very scared! Thanks
