I was just wondering. Are the 4X4 Blazer Axels the same width as the 4X4 truck axels. Meaning... will Blazer axels work on a 4X4 truck?

I'm sorry, I don't have more details, but I believe that there is a small issue in the shock mounts. I think the blazers are different from the trucks in some years because the truck shocks go one forward, one back; while the blazer axles have both shocks to the front. Heads up!

So that would just mean relocating the perches, right? Other than that, I could put Blazer axels under a 71-72 Chevy truck, and they would be "as original"?

As long as you stick with the same year range it will definatly work. All the front ends definatly swap. 3/4 and 1 ton rears require the above mentioned mods though. Not sure on late model 1/2 ton rears.

as long as you use '67-'72 vintage axles they will bolt in, the shock mounts are the same, everything. The front axles are actually wider on a 4x4 because of an issue with tracking and the handling characteristics of a 4x4. If you're going to run '73 and up axles, the front is the same, but the rear has different shock mounts, one front and one back, and I've heard the spring perches are wider than a '67-'72. Hope this helps some, btw, how's the Blazer from Ashland coming along?
