WTB: 88 4x4 Suburban Rear Assembly GU6 G80 DC/NoVA
Changed the bearings on the 88 Suburban and still having problems with the rear assembly. I'm looking for a working drum to drum 88 4x4 Suburban 3.42 (GU6, G80) rear assembly replacement in the Washington DC / Northern VA area.
Please email me with price and location. I also need to know the distance between shackles/leaf spring mounts and from the drum backside to drum backside of the assembly. The assembly from Blazers, etc. might work, but they sometimes have different measurements. If you know of a local source that might have one, please point me in that direction also. --oliverssuburban |

Rear Assembly
I have a complete Suburban with complete rear, 4wd, not sure if which year, but has the small quad lights. I am storing it for a friend. He did not decide to part out or sell as whole yet. I will advise him of your interest and let you two talk.
It is a 340, locking differential, has probably about 40K on a complete gut and rebuild. It is a 1/2 ton unit running a 350 thottle body and 700 r4. The 700 has about 20k on a rebuild. LILREDGMC |
