Want to mount jack under bed somewheres. Anybody done this?
I'd like to move my jack out of the cab and mount it up under the bed somewhere. Anyone done this? Any ideas how to attach the jack and rod to the frame? Doesn't sound too tough, but I can't quite think of a good solution, either!

I don't think I would want it where it will big up grime and extra moisture. If you just want it out of the cab, go junkin and pull a under hood jack mount from a 73-87 truck. That will get ity out of the cab and not where it will get to messed up and it is still easy to get at.

Good point, but I'd prefer to put it under the bed (plenty of unused room, front to rear weight balance improvement, etc.). Maybe a sealed enclosure of some kind is what I need.

If you have an underbed mounted spare, maybe you can rig up something where it will sit inside the rim and go up and down wth the spare tire.

Why not make a metal box out of sheet metal and place it under the passenger side wheel well directly behind the passenger seat and in between the wheel well.
