6.0L 4L80E swap
Looking at doing a engine swap in the future and was wondering if the are and clearance problems other then the A/C pump with this swap using a 72 with a low hump cab. Most of my concern is with the tranny. Thanks Jamie

Re: 6.0L 4L80E swap
I don't think there are AC problems, as the 6.0 is a truck motor and the AC problems came from putting camaro and corvette engines into trucks. as for the tranny, think turbo 400 with OD and then, yeah, probably will have clearance issues.

Re: 6.0L 4L80E swap
You should not have any problems. FirstGen did the same swap, except with a 6-spd. Should be a direct bolt-up if you get aftermarket mounts. I used the ECE GenIII mounts ($250) for my 5.7L LS1, which is basically the same engine with diff't heads and the peripherals are mounted diff't on the front.

Re: 6.0L 4L80E swap
I thought Firstgen used a 6.0 with a 4L60E maybe I was mistaken. Thanks again.
