Edelbrock 1405 Carb Questions
Just got a 1405 and my truck is at the shop, does anyone have this carb on their truck with a TH400 with the electric kickdown switch and does it mount to this carb?

I put a 1406 on my 68 burb, and the kick down switch does not mount to the carb. Edelbrock does not have an adaptor. You can either get a kick down switch for a 71-72 which mounts on the gas pedal. Or you can go the aftermarket route.

So where does the aftermarket kickdown kit attach to, the carb or the gas pedal? Do you have this kit?

Hmmm, I hope I got the right carb. The 1405 has the manual choke which attaches to a heat riser on the manifold correct? Or did I need to get the 1406 with electric choke?

Aftermarket will hook up to the carb.

LOKAR has a really nice kick-down switch...about $60. After you get one of these, it won't matter which carb you run....you'll be able to make it work the 400TH.
