C-10 abuse
Saw this cute little 68 C-10 that suddenly appeared one day on my route home. Of course I turned around to find out if it was for sale, and I got the usual reply ("NO!"). I had to take a picture anyway since the camper-to-truck ratio seemed way out of proportion to me...perhaps there could be a Jeff Foxworthy joke here.

Re: C-10 abuse
I have a 76 Blazer Chalet and it's lots of fun to drive in cross winds and a mountain road. Good luck to you sir, Good luck I say. My Blazer has a stack of heavy duty leaf springs front and rear, I bet his is more fun to drive with 1/2 coil springs. He needs to install signs on his truck Do not drive next to this vehicle may tip over!

Looks like something you'd see in the circus. Wonder how many clowns will climb about of the back?

All that's missing is the roof rack and canoe.

Re: C-10 abuse
It`s just an 8 footer. The back overhang is no more than most real campers. That`s just a big old cap.It wouldn`t look so funky if it had the usual bunk over the cab. With a little spring work that truck can handle it just fine.35+ year old coils ain`t much for a new hefty load. He`s probably just transporting that camper.I`d love to have that tryck, though.

Re: C-10 abuse
That's nothing. I've had mine more overloaded than that I hauled cord wood with it, she didn't like it, and yeah, the steering was light!

Re: C-10 abuse
That is being treated like a regular farm vehicle here in Alberta, Canada.......Our Motto here is put more air in the tires and load it up till the bumper touches the ground.

Re: C-10 abuse
If it just showed up,my theory is he went to a sale and bought both.He just brought it all home together.Judging by the temporary nature of securing it,he probably has no intention of leaving it as a package.

Re: C-10 abuse
But wait, there's more....
I took another picture while I was there, which includes a shot of the custom front bike rack. The story I got was that the truck still belongs to the original owner (father of the gentleman I spoke with, whose place it was at) and was driven from the East Coast to Idaho years ago...loaded to the gills and pulling a boat the whole way. He said he does use the camper with it, but was just moving it over to his sons place temporarily which explains the 'temporary' straps. Oh yeah, it's a 6-cyl 3-on-the-tree. Also notice the killer high-back buckets, fastened down with custom 2 x 4 brackets! All kidding aside, I'd love to have this one too.
