Keeping mice out of your truck.

Pulled in my drive tonite and saw something sitting on top my truck, I thought it was my neighbors cat again [he likes to sit on my truck and wait for mice and rabbits to come out of my pasture] but as I got closer I could see it was this critter. He doesnt look very big but he had a heck of a wingspan when he took off.

Re: Keeping mice out of your truck.

I guess I'd be concerned that the owl would scratch my paint.

I got one of those in the woods near my house. I love it. Keeps the squirrel on their toes, and the crows quiet.

Re: Keeping mice out of your truck.

Owls are cool!!! I'd be glad to have one scratch the paint on my truck! Okay, so my truck doesn't have paint.... But I still wouldn't mind something as cool as a bird of prey hanging out on my ride.

Re: Keeping mice out of your truck.

Who?I said "Who?" We used to sit and watch this owl perched over the creek on a limb like a statue (once you spotted him). Then,he`s drop and pull something up,disappearing into the woods. How they soar through woods with all that wing is amazing.
Earlier this summer I get on the road and between my neighbor`s and my house (where the creek is) is the owl dead on the road, his eyes still shiney and body limp.I picked him up and ran him up the hiway about an hour to my sister`s who make Native art, fetishes, etc. Can`t let the death be a total waste. My work can wait.I do this with all birds of pray and certain roadkill. It`s the only way to get the parts, legally.

Rob,I beg to differ. That`s how you keep the mice in the truck.
