Re: Bryan's '68 Shortbox Project

The build is going slow... no place, no time...
recent progress:
Bought new tires, mounted them on the rims (see above pix of rims)
I have decided to just clean up a pair of trailing arms and use them with new bushings installed...
Then I have to disassemble the suspension and replace all the bushings, ball joints, steering stuff with new...
Then run brake lines and mount fuel tank...
Then its clean up engine and put it in frame...

Re: Bryan's '68 Shortbox Project

update 2-14-08
OK, not alot of progress lately, but just a solid "Here's where I'm at"
I've got the front & rear tires mounted on the rims and mounted on the rolling chassis. (Pics below)
Swapped the moser 5 lug axles into one of my 3.73 6 lug rearend
Found I need to repaint the interior again, So, was soda-blasted the weekend of 2-14-09.
Still have to tear down all the chassis pieces and re-bushing everything.
Then it will be motor/trans clean-up and paint time, then put it in the rolling frame.... I'm running the stock 283 out of my '67 truck mild RV cam w/stock manifolds & stock 2bbl (hehehe), using TH350 w/1800-2000 stall convertor & 3.73 gears... PERFECT FUN.

Now lets see how long it is until I post THAT IS complete...hehehe

Once the rolling frame is, well rolling... then it body assembly and mock up time....Whoo-Hoo....
Not alot to see but...

Re: Bryan's '68 Shortbox Project

I think (If my memory is correct) it's a compamy called Majestic (China made) I bought a set of (4) 15 x 8's from a local tire shop, then ordered (2) 15 x 7's on ebay from the same supplier. Only come in limited sizes and a set B.Spacing. I will look to find you a link...
Bryan

EDIT...
I bought from this guy..
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/merchant/danieltire

this is not the guy I bought from, but...
