Drag link rubber dust covers

Where do I get some of these for the 70 blazer 4WD? I went to NAPA and they as well as the Chevy dealer laughed... I seem to get that alot. Please help. The ends are ok and tight but the rubber dust covers were shot. Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

I ran into the same thing, and had to get new drag links, which come with the rubber. Big tires can tear the rubber on hard turns. After you replace them, try not to turn too sharp.

Re: Drag link rubber dust covers

Had the same problem, couldn't find the correct ones anywhere. O'Reilly didn't have any, found some at Autozone. They showed them to me on a PC, looked to be red. wanted to see them anyway, when they showed up they were black and were in the shape of a octagon. They seem to fit ok, have only put them on the drag link to check fit. I have to buy new power steering box before putting on pitman arm. Set of 2 boots were $10. May not fit your build as it doesn't look original, could get part # in am if interested, good luck

1970 Blazer 4WD drag link rubber boots

I posted this on the blazer forum but thought I would ask you who may have had this problem also. The ones on my 56K mile rig were deteriorated and I need to replace them but the chevy dealer and NAPA just laughed. The part link itself is very good and strong but the rubber is shot. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did not know it. Sorry for the trouble. Just trying to get another crowd. Not all 4WD truck guys care for the Blazer stuff. Can I get this moved to truck forum?

Jeg's sells them in two different sizes. They're made by Energy Suspension. Two to a pack and they're 4 bucks a pack. Not a bad deal.

Re: Drag link rubber dust covers

The parts guys are being lazy. If they will go to the books instead of computer moog offers replacement boots and if that does not work, there should be some on the "help" rack. Hope this helps, Harold
