Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
$350 each. I think I could take the 69 pending what the engine is and how it is running. Im 100% down at that cost. You have a tow rig?

Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
That is a good deal. Just shows that all the real deals are hiding out in the country.

Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
I might be in on this one! Id give $450. for the '69.
I'l take the cab off the '69 if it's in ok shape if someone beats me to it.. looks like the '69 has no front glass. If someone goes and takes a look let me know what you find? Last edited by Kayotic; 01-24-2009 at 07:23 PM. |

Everything is just so far all the time.
Who's going to bring me the '69 up to Dallas? Its only two hundred miles.

Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
1969 was the year they replaced the 327 with a 350. If that cab is in ok shape I would be willing to drag it here. The cab I have now was clobbered on the front corners of the roof, causing the doors to be miss aligned. (I'll have to get pics of it) It was enough to damage the inner and outer skins as well as push in some of the windsheild lip.
So I am thinking if need be I can straighten this cab I have now, Or replace a bunch of metal on another cab. The cab I have now is pretty dry though. If we can arrainge some pics that would be great... Note: I guess the doors aren't miss aligned it's the door opening of the cab. Even the filler neck opening was distorted. Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
It's in the Houston CL as well, so make sure it's in really in Auston lol... But pretty sure his area code is Auston if I remember right.
What's TX's laws on titles and cabs? I have some family friends in Austin, if anyone needs a place to hold I can try and talk them into it. They live in a gated community, so the association may not like it. It is a REALLY tempting deal, if I could convince my dad to sacrafice some back yard space, but I don't think he wants another project sitting out agian. Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
Yeah I checked the location and the trucks are just a little east of Austin. That means that they are even closer to all you guys in Houston and Dallas than you thought. I map quested it and its only 150 mile away from my house. All you guys on the north west side of houston are propably actually less than 100 mile away from them! Is someone going to buy them or am I going to have to call the guy later on and go pick them up tommorrow? I wouldn't think about it too long if any of you are interested, if they are in Houston and Austin and propably Dallas CL then that means ALOT of people are seeing the ad!!

Yep, the 67 sounds about right for the price, rough. I did not ask about the 69. Also, he is not at Elgin, he is at Blue.

Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
Blue is between Lexington and Elgin. (East of Elgin). Where in the ad does it say the 69 is a V8? Or did he say this over the phone? I wish i had not just had to pay property taxes!!!! My wife would kill me, as our rent house is empty right now.

Re: Amazing deal in Austin, TX
Yeah I guess I am going lay off this on also, Headed for a bad week in the markets. Kinda got me down. It was fun while it lasted. I would still like to find a decent cab that won't fall apart on the way over here.

Hey ya'll,
I am in Kempner Texas and I have a tow rig. I need a few of the smaller parts off of the 67. I will be home in a week. If the trucks are still there I will go and get them if someone wants to buy what is left. Just let me know. BTW: I am in Kuwait headed home from Iraq!!!! See ya'll real soon. |
