Did some horse trading today...

oldiron (Dennis) came out to the farm today to look at my 71 K10. We came to a mutual agreement and now he's the owner of my truck and Im the owner of his 41 Caddy.

NW guys get ready for a work party BBQ up at Dennis's place in a month or two. He wants to swap a few things on the 71 that is just too much for one guy to do alone. a big plus is that he has a large shop with lifts and no Monroe bird poo =). More to come on this later...PM me if you wanna talk about it.

Im also working on a possible trade deal for my 71 K20 with another friend of mine. Ill post up pictures if that one goes through.

Me too, we could use you to spark things up around here. Hopefully we can get a good turn out. It will be a good chance to meet some great people and a good time to learn more about our trucks.

Ill buy a lotto ticket and if I win Ill pay to have you come out =)

Re: Did some horse trading today...

Well I'm happy I now have a running truck and maybe CG will have more round tuits than I had. The caddy has a 72 Nova subframe with disc brakes, power steering and 1975 500 cid Caddy running gear, 400 turbo and 75 Caddy rear end. I will try to find picture of it for later.
Here are some pictures I took today of the K10.

Re: Did some horse trading today...

Sweet deal for both of you!!!! Count me in on the work party...I think I can still find oldiron's place. I would consider a caravan going north between all of us "South-Enders". What are we doing and what do I need to bring...oldiron really does have ALL the tools and toys!

After chevy trucks and 50s chevy cars old 30s-50s caddys are my favorite vehicles. That is a sweet deal for both, however I really like the caddy!!!

Dennis and Mark, What is on the agenda for work? Let's schedule around the Superbowl, Corvette and HP Swap meet and the Early Bird Swap meet. Just a thought!

Re: Did some horse trading today...

I think the work party will happen after the early swap meets are over. With the truck he also gets all the stuff I had that was eventually going to go into it. Front axel, drivers door, core support, inner fenders, seat foams and cover, dash pad, door panels...etc etc etc...you get the idea. It will all be laid out over in the NW section.
