Unhappy What should I do about these wheels??

I am going to buy some wheels for my truck and Im trying to decide between the Boss 338's and the Boss 335's. I know about the fitment issues with the 338's but I have the 1" rotors and Im willing to do some rigging to make em work if I have to. My problem is I originally liked the 335's better but they ony come in a 20x8.5 and I can get the 335's in a 20x8.5 and a 20x10. I am also on a $1500 budget and I can get the 335's with tires for that much. The 338's are 1900. I could always buy the 338's and only two tires and buy the other two when I can afford them. The other thing is the 338's will take 3 weeks and I can get the 335's now. I need some opinions please.

I really like the 338's on your body style! Something about them just looks really clean with the square body trucks and the wider wheel would look damn good on the rear. However, I can understand the money issue! I think either wheel would look good...I personally just like the 338 a little better for yoour truck.

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

The other thing is if I get them all the same size (which would be the 335's) I can rotate the tires and they will last a lot longer. I can always use a small spacer in the rear so that the back ones don't look tucked in.

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

I just installed the 338's 20X8.5 and 20X10. I also have the 1" rotors. they went on with only one issue. I had to shave the clips on the caps just a bit. but really not a big deal. I ran 295/40R20 in the rear and they are extremely close to the wheel tubs. I had to modify(Beat with a large hammer) the tub on the pass. side. but they are now on and i love them.

And if all else fails, you can always just get a bigger hammer! (that's my philosophy anyway)

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

I think that they both would look good on the truck, but i would probably go with the 335's because I see a lot of 338's around. But it is your truck. just my opinion

Make sure you read Keith's post about the Boss wheels before you buy them, they might not fit.

Did you loosen the bed and try to adjust it for clearance? Jay

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

save yourself $1498.50, and get yourself a new lugnut for that rear wheel. My favorite wheel is the stock truck rally. I think your truck looks stellar as it is.

Even if your tired of your rallys, they do look good on your truck...Wheel selection confuses me to muchThat's why I just stick with rallys. The 338's are sure sweet though.

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

If your going to get new wheels, my vote is the 335's. There are more rigs with the 338's or similar wheels out there. Go to something a bit different... or stick with the steelies, there always a good choice.

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

I personally like the 338s better. Who cares if you cant rotate them. For some reason my rear tires always wear twice as fast as the fronts anyway.
(long smokey burnouts will do that) Staggered wheels and tires look better to me if you're going aftermarket. But, your truck looks killer on Ralleys. Have them sand blasted and repaint them with the proper silver ralley wheel paint and add new rings and caps. It will be sick!!!

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

338's.
You got the 1" rotors,... so you're way ahead of most people that want them.
20x8.5's and 20x10's.
Use a 245/40 or 255/40 up front and a 295/40 for the rear tires.

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

i would go 338's, i am and even if you had the other rotors they'd fit, the reason for a 3 week wait is they were getting re-tooled to fit better, which is why im on hold for mine!

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

I guess I should have read this before the car show today. I purchased some 338's today at a car show. The size I got was (4) 18x9.5. Did I go wrong? Hope not!

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

I haven't checked them yet. I purchased the truck a couple of weeks ago and haven't got that far yet. Been doing tune-up and cleaning on it so far. The show only comes around here twice a year(Feb & Nov)so I didn't want to wait till Nov. I going to lower it once I get the wheels on,so I would know what stance would look good.

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

ok, well if you do have the 1.25's and your gonna lower it you could get new drop spindles for the 1" rotors and put 1" rotors on your truck.

Re: What should I do about these wheels??

ok,So the 1" is what I need to go with? The tire size is what's going to take me awhile. Trying to get the right size that wil fit without rubbing.I got a good deal on them so that's the reason I went with the 338's instead of the rally's
