Bench Seat Tracks modified for a bucket seat?

I want to say I saw somewhere on here that someone had modified bench seat tracks to fit under a bucket seat. I've searched and can't find it though.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It can be done, I "think" you have to use some angle to create a subframe of sorts to adapt the bench brackets to the bucket configuration. I remember seeing the thread but it has been several years ago. Sorry I don't have more details, but if I remember the tracks stick out a little too far to look stock.

Re: Bench Seat Tracks modified for a bucket seat?

There used to be a guy on here that had done it and had used 73 and up buckets in his grande sierra.... his name was TomHand.... I saved a pic of his seats, and as far as I know he had used two sets of bench brackets to create a set for the buckets... I have not seem him on the bard for about 5-6 years though.... here is the pic....

Re: Bench Seat Tracks modified for a bucket seat?

Tom is exactly who it was. I think I would try to find a blazer driver's side and buy a repo set of brackets for the passenger side. I think someone recently used a set of 73 bucket brackets but had to lower the brackets approx. 1 inch.

Re: Bench Seat Tracks modified for a bucket seat?

Also look at 70cstlonghorn's thread, he used 73 up bucket brackets on the driver's side.
