Re: push rod removal 292

When I replaced the head on my '69 with a 292 I seem to remember putting the pushrods in the block before (carefully) putting the cylinder head on. Hopefully there's an easier way for you!

If I only wanted two pedals I'd have bought a bicycle.

that's fine if you are changing the head. What about a broken push rod?

Re: push rod removal 292

I just thought of something I will try tomorrow. Pull the lifter out and drop the pushrod down and pull it out the side. Just tried it, no go.

That's why I said hopefully there's an easier way, without putting a hole in the firewall...

Re: push rod removal 292

I'm thinking maybe pull the motor mounts and drop the from down about an inch.
