Need help with Static Drop

so i been looking around for a while now and want to know what would be the best to go with for a 5/7 drop on my 77 c10. I know that the Western Ch. flip kit only gives you 5 inch of drop and the belltech gives you 6 and they are strictly bolt on from my understanding. i was also told that you cant fit a 2" shackle in the rear. i plan to go with 3" drop spindles and 2" coils in the front. if you could give me an idea of what i should buy i would appreciate it whether it be a whole kit or pieced together im also hopping for the lowest price but i just want to get a full 5/7 drop thank you

Also if you don't mind posting your drop with a pic of it (preferably from the side but not necessary) that would help me as well

The amount of drop measured from swapping in a flip-kit is derived on the quantity of leaves in the spring pack. If it's a HD truck w/the 8-leaf spring pack, you'll get 6" of drop regardless of brand. If it has 5-6 leaves, you'll net about 5" of drop.

I've only done a handful of these so this isn't an absolute, but my experience is the shackles require clearancing on a bed support channel if it has the 5-6 leaves as the springs are usually the shorter length (52" I think). HD trucks have the longer 56" springs & the shackles don't hit.

My 74 has the HD spring pack. It's @ about 7-8" drop in the rear w/the flip-kit & shackles. I did not have to trim any bed support channel.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Need help with Static Drop

I got the western ch. 3"-5" coils and flip kit. Added a 2" droped spindle to the front. Currently riddin 5"-5". You can see my drop in my profile pic on 255/60-15 and 15x8 rallys. I thought I would save money when all said and done but was wrong. I still gotta purchase my C-notch, 2" rear shackles and shock extenders. Your best bet would be a McGaughtys 5"-7" drop kit which includes everything at a great price. Stylin trucks or Godfathers had the best deals last time I checked.
