HELP Replacing front window.

ok i have an 84 k20, it has the "chrome" insert around the windshield and it needs to be replaced, i've done the rear window like 4 times,, is the front windsheild harder to do??? like can i grab one at the "junk" yard and put it in easily or just pay the 150 to get a new one installed??

front may require a little more work than the rear because of the curves, but it is basically about the same. You will need the dash pad out.
You might want to shop the price. I can get a 100.00 installed brand new windshield with the internal antenna in Houston. Almost not worth doing it myself....

It really depends on how cheap you can get it done. I personally got a perfect windshield at the junk yard for 20 bucks and it took me and my buddy a couple hours to put it in and that was because we didn't use big enough rope the first time and it snapped. When you put it in, put the seal on the windshield and then start at the bottom and work your way around with the rope trick. If me and my friend can do it with a box of pbr's, so can you.
