Re: Fully Custom Trucks
A lot of work went into these trucks and a lot of talent was neeed to get the desired results...but...I still prefer a lightly moded truck. Must be my old age.

Re: Fully Custom Trucks
I'd love to grab on of these rigs, cruise back to 1970 to Oshawa or Detroit and just watch the look on the workers faces filing out at the end of their shift.
Especially if it has a Ramjet 502, ECM hooked up to your laptop. While my hot girl with implants chats on her i-phone and your air susp. bumps up and down. "I've seen the future and it's SICK"...(confused looks) "that means groovey in the future" smiles all around.

I dunno. I kinda doubt they'd like it. I'm from back then and most guys I know from back then like 'em how they were made. Mild custom is cool cuz it shows respect for what you started with...a damn nice vehicle. They used to chop and hack '55s and Vettes, etc. Time has proven that was a mistake and we look back and call it goofy. Live and let live. But,that's my take...from experience. Not trying to stop the show. Keep 'em coming...

Re: Fully Custom Trucks
It looks like this is open to all years, so here's a shot of my '88. I just took these this morning. Maybe later today I'll wash the poor thing.
It's for sale, $8,900 obo. I will take an interesting trade. Maybe something kind of stock, so I can cut it in half and weld it back together again. Speaking of boobs, somewhere I've got an old issue of Tailgate with this truck smothered with nubile young female bi-peds sporting altered appendages that are attempting to bounce... Sometimes I miss that job. |

Re: Fully Custom Trucks
No I dont think it's just an age thing. I'm 23 and I'm currently building my 3rd bagged and bodydropped truck and have done it all including shaving off pinchwelds and sectioning bodies all to get that extra 1/2 inch or so but I'm more and more leaning towards my next truck or next rendition of my 68 being just a clean mild custom with a static drop. Then again, I have said I was done with bags before...

Re: Fully Custom Trucks
Colin Havens I love the way you're 2 tone split follows the body lines. Im really having a hard time deciding wether or not to ditch my rollpans and go back to bumpers. They're definitely growing on me, especially with that pic
