Washer pump ?
So I tried the water pissers for the first time since I had my truck and nothing happened but a clicking noise in the area of the pump/motor any ideas ?

Re: Washer pump ?
They have a diaphragm in them that goes bad after a while. You can get a rebuild kit for it.
Or you can put in an electric pump. That's what I did, and I like it a lot better. The ones that came with later model S-10 washer bottles seem to work well. |

Re: Washer pump ?
It sounds like its working or trying to anyway....thats good. Try forcing water up the hose (use a syringe...the hose tastes terrible). Also check your connections....you may have had the pickup line fall off the pump...check for holes in the lines also, very common. And last, if all else fails you may need to repair/ rebuild the valve top on the pump....its not too hard. Just a lot of on your back work...kinda awkward. Good luck.

Re: Washer pump ?
Just needs to be primed most likely. Like the above poster says, you need to get water up to the pump.
I like to use a small funnel that the the hose fit's into and fill it with water while running the pump. If the diaphram is ok, it should suck the water right up and start working. Then just pull the hose out of the funnel and attach to the jug.
