Post 50th sitting in my yard?

I have a white roof gold middle and white lower 1968 chevy longwheel base fleetside. I never thought much about it being 50th becouse the seat had been recovered and no longer cloth. I finaly woke up and checked the glove box lid and BAM, it says parchment cloth interior. How do you tell for sure?

So what makes a 50th different from a normal 68? besides the paint and interior?...I think that the truck that I just got is a 50th due to the two option codes mentioned above, but it has since been painted all white and the interior is all black.....What benifite would I have coverting it back to the original colors????

The parchment interior(On trucks only) and two tone paint code (551) are the only things that will indendify a 68 as a 50th. Burbs, Vans and Elcaminos had 50th paint too.

If you like the gold color it would be cool to resore your truckto 50th colors. I think it looks very sharp.

551 ivory/gold and 625 parchment trim are what to look for,
type of seat has nothing to do with if its a 50th or not, sounds like you have one ! congrats!

Question

What was the 551 optional paint code for a 1968 50th aniversary:

Ivory/Gold
or
Off-White/Gold

or maybe both?

Ivory is kind of an off-white color. Just intrested in what the factory called it on the vin label on the glovebox.
