AC Hose Replacement
Anyone have any experience/tips on replacing the ac hoses? It appears that the original hoses are crimped (soldered?) to the aluminum tubing. If I remove the ends will I find barbed tubing that I can clamp new refrigerant hose onto?

Best bet would to find a hose shop that can replace the hoses, that way they can install new fureles and crimp them. they seal with even pressure around the dia of the hose.
But yes you should find barbs on the factory hoses.

Old Air Products has new ones that fit perfect. If you have someone cut and put new hose and fittings on, they won't fit correctly in the hold down clamps.

Go to a automative AC shop and have them do the hoses and connections. You will be glad you did. If the hoses need ends the hoses need to be replaced also.

Docs Blocks sells the clamp on type hose and clamps, as well as the tool to install the clamps. Don't know if they'll have the exact size hose though. Good luck. Also, be carefull removing old hose that you don't knick the tubing with aknife or tools. Causes leaks real easy. Jim
