Doing sound barrier and saw this. It's in my 67.

a spring hooks onto it, securing the jack to the floor. someone will post a pic soon i am sure

Oh, I don't think it's for the jack, its in the passenger corner, this is in about the middle of the cab behind the seat. You did give me an idea what I think it's for is the the jack handle to sit in and the hook keeps it from sliding out...mmmmmm any other ideas?

While not for the jack, it is for the tools in a 67-68. 69-72 the tools were stored in the passenger cab corner. I knew it had something to do with the jack/tools
