I just might get an aftermarket reservior and plumb the lines, which need to be changed anyway.....IDK...

Re: power steering pump

have a picture of what you do have? Several of us have the factory style PS pumps laying around from swaps. Might be easier and cheaper to just buy the pump and bracket from someone.

Re: power steering pump

I'm no expert. However, I have not seen that setup before. I know the Corvettes an some others use a resevor.. I think I would just find a normal truck pump and bracket to use.

Re: power steering pump

Theres a van in a salvage yard by me that has that reservoir. I could get it but don't know how much shipping would be, but I would think I could get it and ship it to you for probably $20.

BTW usmcchevy mounted his to the alternator bracket and shortened the hose, they originally mounted on the firewall and had about a 2 foot hose on them.

see if that link works. I put in 2003 Chevy Van for the vehicle, and under Steering Gear->pumps and hoses-> resevoir and click "see illustration"
I'm thinking its item #5

Re: power steering pump

Went by the Pick-n-Pull today after work, walked in and asked how much a power steering reservoir is. The girl behind the counter says a reservoir is $6, I say OK, pay the $2 admission, and go pull it. Walk back to the counter where another girl spits out a number to the guy behind the counter running the cash register, he rings it up, $6, cool. But, then his 2 remaining brain cells that the meth hasn't killed apparently bump into each other and he looks at the screen which has pictures, and says "this aint the right part", I look at it and say it's a reservoir, which at the top of the screen it says "reservoir", well he makes a big deal and says it's part of a power steering pump, whic I say it is, but it's a RESERVOIR! He says, nope, part of a power steering pump and procedes to charge me $14. At this point I'm getting pi$$ed, and just say OK, and I snatched the reciept out of his hand and mumbled some stuff I can't put on here and left by paving their parking lot with my BFG's, all the time hoping the cloud of smoke lingers in front of the door and they know it was me!

OK, rant over. If you want it, give me an address and I'll get a shipping quote. If you don't want it, it's cool, because it will give me great pleasure to take it back and throw it at the d-bag behind the counter.
