Rear Disc Brakes for 72 Custom
Hello all,
I have just purchased a 1972 custom, and I want to put rear disc brakes on it. What vehicle can I use to complete this conversion? It has front disc brakes from the factory, and I know there will have to be some changes on the brake booster and master cylinder and plumbing to the rear, but I am more concerned with what current vehicle I can use for the rear setup. Any help is much appreciated. |

Re: Rear Disc Brakes for 72 Custom
I bought CCP's they work great. That way everything matches. Simple install.

Re: Rear Disc Brakes for 72 Custom
CPP, POL, and ECE all offer nice kits. But, if you're wanting to use factory GM parts (keeping in mind that only modern trucks have rear disks from the factory), one of the more popular approaches is to adapt late model Impala SS rear disks. Captain Fab makes a bracket and nice setup to help do this:
