Scored a 71
Well, here's the new 71 I have headed my way! All original except it has added fuel tanks under the rear fenders on both sides. Interior is complete, but needs a good working over. 350 automatic, tilt steering. No rust. I think it will clean up nicely. I don't think I got hurt too bad for $2000. Yes, it still has tire chains on it lol...

Re: Scored a 71
I've a few more pics but will need to get them downloaded. It has a few small dents on the passenger side where a horse kicked it, but I think they can be massaged out easy enough.

Re: Scored a 71
I'm not sure yet. This would be a great truck to restore in such nice condition. But... I really want a truck I can use and get dirty. For now I will probably work on getting it back on the road and going through the interior. In the future, who knows???

Re: Scored a 71
If you don't want the cattle rack and you would be suprised how scrap pieces of metal you would have there and how many projects that those odds and ends can help you do. Great looking truck by the way it should make a real nice one once cleaned up and done up real pretty

Re: Scored a 71
What is the contraption mounted under the steering column - box with a knob? I have this on my truck. It looks like some kinda brake proportioning valve. Was this stock?

That's a nice truck, a lot better than the 71 I had...and it's 4x4.
No no no...it's a 4x4 they don't get washed They get a mud paint job.
