Power steering mounting brackets for a 250 6cyl.

I'm trying to get some measurements on the mounting brackets for a 250 6 cyl engine since me and my dad are gonna try and make some brackets for it due to money issues and being unable to find any salvage yard to have anything close to what we need. If someone can help me out with some measurements on them, I'd appreciate it.

FYI the 6 cylinder Nova PS brackets will fit a 250.

Yeah, we know that but we haven't had any luck finding any brackets from anything in any of the salvage yards around here.

Maybe you just gotta bite the bullet and buy the $140 set off ebay.

Re: Power steering mounting brackets for a 250 6cyl.

We might have to but for now we don't have the money to drop $140 on a mounting bracket so we're gonna try and figure out something that could work, if not we'll then buy that one.

here is a good picture of them for a non integrated head. These are probably sold since it's an old post but it shows a good picture of them.

Throw out a WTB add on the forum, you usually can pick them up for less than $50

I've got mine soaking to get some of the grease and crude off them for the night. I'll pull them out and take pics and post them tomorrow.

Keep in mind that brackets are only part of the equation. You will need to have a pump with pulley and the crank pulley to use,so you can mock everything up in alignment.

Yeah, we have the pump with the pulley and everything else we need right now, we just haven't had any luck finding any kind of brackets that could work though.

not a problem. I know these brackets are getting harder to find. Took me about 3 months to finally find a set.
