72 gmc sg facelift update!!

Well I am just about done with the interior. I have repainted the whole interior, clean, replaced all dash parts. Waiting on my buckets, console, brackets....and glove box emblem coming from Jonathan (VA72C10)soon…..then I can install the carpet, gas tank carpet, and three point seat belts. Enjoy the update pics....more to come soon.

40 year old paint still has a little shine!!!

Cleaned headliner and new trim turned out nice.

Dash cleaned up good!

Front has been pulled and cleaned and painted.

Awesome, where did you get the shoulder belts from? Original shoulder belts for these trucks are hard to come by

Sorry...need to read before I post, the seats and console is period correct. I have purchased the three point shoulder belts that bolt into factory supplied holes.

Are the grill and eyebrows original or replacements? They are in such nice shape.

They are both original...lucky me...only bad thing was removal of the "Brush Guard" left two 1" holes! The truck is all original, except for tires, belts & hoses, battery, and seat cover (plus what I am changing now). I bought the truck from the son of the original owner (34K original miles), his dad only drove it into town once a week. It was parked under a carport all it's life, only true damage was from the Sun hitting it on the drivers side under the carport all those years (fading color, rubber drying out), and a bondo job in the drivers side bed side showing through from 1973. West Texas is hard on trucks....but great to them in the rust area!

Thanks for all the comments! I will do "before & after" pics when I get the interior completed. Then comes the exterior this Summer!!
