Best size rallies for 72 LWP 3/5 drop...

Hello all,

Newbie here. Lowering my 72 LWB with ECE 3/5 kit. I really like the look of the rallies...question is, what is best combo to fill wheel wheels, stance, etc? Would love to hear suggestions.

Looking at 37 Series Pickup Rallye wheels...Maybe 15x8 front, 15x10s too big for rear?

Thanks for any input!

Here's my 71 shortbed with 8's and 10's in the series 37. Tires are 255/60/15 up front and 275/60/15 out back.

Wow xmitsu10...that looks EXACTLY what I am looking for. Perfect stance too.

Able to use stock trim rings etc? What drop did you do?

Great looking truck!

Re: Best size rallies for 72 LWP 3/5 drop...

First of all DocAdams ...

to the forums and from Ohio.

xmitsu10 has a very nice stance on his truck. I had 15x8's on the fronts and 15x9's on the rear.

I went back to 15x8's on the front and rear. Just my preference.

Just about any size Rallies will look good.

Thanks Doc. The trim rings are 3" and the drop is 3.5" front and 5" rear in that photo. It's been dropped another 1" out back since.

15 x 7 up front with 215 70. 15 x 8 out back with 275 60. Gives it a nice rubber rake, and everything tucks if you decide to go lower.

I did the ECE 3 1/2 front (2.5 spindle with 1" spring) 5 rear kit with Vintique 37 wheels. Had to space out the fronts to get them to clear the rotor & spindle.

Still looking to space the rear out just a smidge to get everything lined up right. But otherwise really like the look...

Thanks for Kudos guys.

What size spacer to clear rotor and spindle? What size spacer would you recommend for rear

Shawn, did the front wheels rub at all or back bottom out on your gorgeous truck?

No Greg never once had an issue, the rear is leaf spring so it doesn't move around as much as the coil spring truck and thanks for the compliments.

I used a 1 1/4" for the front...the rear is what I'm unsure on...may machine the other set i have down to 1/2" to 3/4" so it would push the rears out just a bit more...
