Yenko c10

Anybody ever think of doing a yenko chevy or gmc truck. I think it would be cool with a big block( especially a 427), get some custom decals, and a rock crusher. I feel that it would have to be leafs to hold up to a 427. And a Dana 60 would be nice if it's 5 bolt. Maybe buckets and a nice hurst. And phantom green with a black interior. I think it would be awesome and pretty wild. Imagine a 6 foot stepside with 4.10s and a 427 with a rock crusher, watch the **** out, jack

Re: Yenko c10

When I was starting to think about buying a c10, a Yenko "clone" did cross my mind. In my dream stage I thought a 427 LS motor/t56 would be a cool option.

Re: Yenko c10

I have seen a couple of Yenko tributes on this site. I think that one that is done well can be pretty awesome.

Re: Yenko c10

I don't know about the LS engine but the t56 would be nice, you could actually drive down the highway and actually enjoy yourself. I would go with a well built original 427 myself. But the LS would have the oh s*** factor.

Re: Yenko c10

I think it would look good on a truck that has been modified to be more car like. Small chop, shaved drip rail, shaved tailgate, replace emblems with car emblems (chevrolet script stuff) car mirrors and doorhandles, car split bench or buckets and console, car steering wheel. All gm parts bin stuff.

Don Yenko did Camaros and Novas, not trucks. Why graft a a set of decals onto a truck to imitate work done by a builder that is long gone? The truck you describe would be a nice custom truck but putting some a set of Nova decals on the sides just takes away from the picture.
If you want something that screams watch the **** out, jack try this on. All you have to do is hear it idle and you just know you don't want any:

Yenko sold plenty of just about everything gm made including trucks. He also "did" chevelles and corvairs.

Re: Yenko c10

I put a stripe on mine, l get lots of positive comments and a couple of 'what's that on there for' but overall well received. Gives the truck some old school hot rod character too, definitely fits the years these trucks were made. Certainly like the Yenko theme better than some of the things people do to their old school cars and trucks.

one day i want to bolt on some torque thrust greys, maybe redlines too but in a 17-18 wheel that would really complete the look.

It's your truck, do what makes you happy

I like the Yenko strip on there. It will really look sweet when you get the wheels and tires that you want to put on it.

I actually won the truck.people who did a nice job they tried to keep all but engine stock as they could plus you can uncork it with flip of a switch people who built it did great job but as people unprofessional.pretty much a fresh restore and low miles on the engine n shell n frame. It shakes it rattles and hurts your ears after awhile
