Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
K/10 or K/20? With axles? Very interested. Where about is Moon TWP? (no smart remarks,guys...heh heh) It has the Rockwell 221,right?

Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
Thanks. I'd like to see which t-case and get a feel for how much rust. Usually at the various mounts and cross member unions,as well as general rail condition.

Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
special k if this is the frame I am thinking of he got this from me last month and it is in fantastic condition it has a sm465 and a np205 with an eaton ho52 and a dana 44 drum front. there is no rust at all between brackets. I picked a very clean very straight frame for him. just a quick blast and paint and it should look like new. its probably one of the cleanest 4wd frames I have picked in a while

Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
I am interested in what is being offered. I have a cab, doors, fenders, core support/grille,hood,and once I change my '72 bed, that too, along with other cast-off parts once I restore the '72. I also have a '71 350. I have the title from a truck that was stolen years ago, too. I'd have to get a reconstructed title, but see where I'm going? The frame wouldn't be much use without all the crossmembers anyway.
I have some questions. Do you have the axles shaft that's not installed in the picture? Do you know why it was pulled? Same reason the differential cover was removed,I guess. I'm thinking there must be some issue with the rear? How long has that been open? Frame looks pretty decent. When are the pictures from? Just looking to get a feel of whether they show it as it sits at the moment or was it when you bought it?

Please consider me next in line, or if you are willing to part out, your plan "B" for the bell housing 4sp trans, transfer case, drive shafts, cross member, and clutch linkage. I can pick up May 9, 2014 |

Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
I can pretty well guess why the differential cover and an axle would be pulled. Still haven't lost interest. I'm sending an e-mail.

Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
No,I haven't yet. The cover doesn't concern me. Could have been checking for ratio. But,both that and axle shaft leads me in another direction...especially with neither being put back together. I'll keep my thoughts out of the thread since they aren't a proven fact. I just sent an e-mail. Gotta get going to work and will check your reply this evening.

Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
dan dan da. ok its back story time. the guy I got the truck from bought it in 2007 and drove it for 2 years when the rear wheel cylinders gave out and he was putting fluid in every day. so he pulled it apart but got into a bad car accident later that week and really screwed him up bad so it sat all pulled apart as he was going to change the fluid brakes and do a reseal. it sat completely disassembled for a few years but the drums bearings axles and all hardware were safe and inside. when I bought it I put the drums and bearings on to roll it on the trailer and get it home. and then made the deal with jim. so neither of us felt the need to put it together right away. he has everything to put it together except new shoes and wheel cylinders. all the hardware is bagged and tagged for the most part and I went through and counted and it seemed everything was there. I have been in an ho52 a number of times so I knew what I was looking at. he also had a beautiful 72 blazed in med bronze with a black top. but he wanted 10 grand and that was a little out of my price range.

Re: 69 chevy 4x4 rolling frame
Any thoughts if Special-K doesn't pull the trigger? Would you part out? Carlisle this Friday and I'm hoping to purchase these items. Would rather have yours as the knowledge of working parts is there. Who knows what Carlisle will bring.
