Red - I'm afraid to even think what shipping would be on this. If you are serious I could investigate it.

Re: NOS Tailgate + Nice buddy buckets

I shipped several... 2 USPS and 2 UPS. I saved 1/4 the cost with UPS. It was $77 if I'm not mistaken insurance was a few dollars more depending on the amount insured. Take pictures of the packaging process in case it's damaged in-route. Heavier, large items, cost less from UPS (at least from here). Be careful on the girth. They get you on balloon charges if it's too large.
I don't want to jinx your sale just want both of you covered in case there is damage. Good luck and safe travels.

I have a guy that is interested locally, if that doesn't pan out and I decide to ship, YOU are first in line.

Re: NOS Tailgate + Nice buddy buckets

Insure it, by all means. Take pictures. The tailgate is shippable, I bought one from a member, he used 2X4s and 3/8 plywood. I shipped a perfect grille through FedEx, the same way. When the buyer received it, it had cardboard and plastic wrapped around part of it. It was destroyed. So glad I had taken pictures and insured it. But still lost a good piece
