"Little" C60 needs carb help+pics
Hey, newbie to the site here(and carbs). Picked up this 69 C60 about a year ago, 366, 4/1 speed, ~37,000 miles, and need a carb. What do y'all recommend? I've read these motors usually run better with an Edelbrock but don't know which size/model to get and if I will need an adapter plate. Should I get another rebuild the Holley that was on it, get another Holley, or get an Edelbrock and which one? Thanks for y'alls help! I'll share some pics my truck and a few of my pop's.

If it were me, I would go with a quadrajet. I suspect that it has a 4150 or 4160 style Holley. Pop an adapter plate on there then the Qjet. Now I know a lot of you guys despise Qjets. But a good setup Qjet will work very well. Just use a pre 75 unit. Earlier units have all the adustments that you need.

Nice. Now I would say that the Yellow Knob on the left side would be your Maxi-Brakes (or Spring Brakes as some call it), but it seems like you have an Emergency Hand Brake under the dash. What is the Yellow Knob for?

You're 2 for 2. Yellow knob is the Maxi-brakes/parking brake with the emergency hand brake under the dash. Is this odd? My dad's C50 dump trunk has the same setup.

Interesting. There is nothing like a Maxi-Brake. One of the best inventions ever made.
Welcome to the site, by the way. Bill

My GMC 366 has a Holley on it and it works good. My brother had the truck for years before I got it and never had any trouble with it. I would try rebuilding the holley first.

Oh yeah, could definitely be a lifesaver. That's what I'm startin to think Buggy. Thanks for the welcome and advice guys. Surely I'm not the only one who saw their father's trucks growin up and fell in love with them. His stay at the junkyard though. The dumper is a 292, 5/1 speed, air brakes and "Big Red" has a 350 with a 5/2 speed. This is how we check front wheel bearings… not really
