Re: Craigslis Find - 1965 Chevy C50 Dually pickup

I am going to drive over and see it. The owner is going to send me more pics too. Seemed like a nice and knowledgeable guy when we spoke. Did all the work himself. Here are some details:
Originally a Bell Systems truck - Possibly a boom truck.
250 motor from 1966 truck so not original
SM420
9" foot bed. All custom.
Steps are made out of 4 standard length steps fabricated to make two.
Chevy tailgate with raised letters grafted into tailgate.
Standard width bed.
New carpet
New seat
New Windshield rubber
No rust
Painted three years ago. Some fade. This pic is not current. Truck now has a metal bed.
50 mph top speed with current set-up

He did a nice job fabbing the fender steps. Can't tell they weren't stock.

Pretty sure that if I lived out west where you guys are finding all these nice clean trucks, I would be broke and divorced.... I'm almost there now, she just don't want to get rid of me after 30 yrs.

That will make a cool ride... Let us know if you get it.

That is the a very manly truck. I would drive that to work everyday even if it only hit 50! You would be the coolest guy going 50 mph!
