steering column
I just put a 700 trans,w/o in my '69 chevy 1/2 ton pickup. Now of course the gear selector on the steering column won't jive up with the lever. Any suggestions? Maybe replace the column? Then if replacing,,,which one might be good? Or just leave it alone and deal with it,,,LOL. Thanks, Bill

Re: steering column
You can replace the gear indicator and swap out the linkage for a lokar that will let you set it the way you want it

Re: steering column
We tweaked the radius of the arm to change the amount of sweep on the pointer and got it very, very close.
Took some experimenting, and this was a 4L80E so not the same trans, but same general idea.
