Tire wheel combo what works?

I'm sure this is covered a million times on forum ,but I swear I cannot search on here .all I have a cess to is my phone and the search option will not work. So thank you guys in advance for replying. Ok I have a 1982 shorted . I have 3 inch drop springs along with 3 inch djm drop lower control arms up front.. stock spindles the rear I'm not sure about .I know it has ,I guess you would call them drop shackles in rear and the front hangers have been moved. I'm very new to the lowering scene so forgive my ignorance. The bed and fenders are not on the truck now so I can't swear to it but I'm pretty sure the rear is going to sit a little higher. I plan on doing a flip kit with a c notch in near future. Now for my questions. I really want to run a 22 inch rim. One reason is I have a set of tires that were pulled from a denali .I don't know exact size but I'm guessing they are around a 31.5 inch by 11 wide tire. Is this possible will they fit up front . What type of back spacing do I need. If this does not work I'd like to get a set of 20 inch wheels but I want the ones that are really deep .lol I feel dumb not knowing correct terminology but all this is new to me . Anyways you guys have been there done that tell me nice looking setups that will work.

If you're referring to 285/45r22 tires they are way too tall. Those are 32" diameter not to mention too wide for the front for sure.

To tall because of inner fender wells or to tall period? As far as width. What can I run?

Re: Tire wheel combo what works?

you cant run 22s with your drop unless you have a low profile tire and remove inner fenders.....also keep in mind that you have lowering control arms that hang real low..btw which I would swap to drop spindles cause you will run into hitting the arms....but might wanna run a smaller rim with more tire with that 6" drop

Re: Tire wheel combo what works?

Well my thought process was that the taller rim would help with the hanging low control arms.am I wrong thinking this? Removing inside fenders isn't a problem. I'm more worried of tires being able to turn without hitting the fenders.

Truck looks awesome! What wheels are in the pics above? That's the look I'm going for. What size wheel? What size tire?
