Hello from istanbul turkey

I want to buy 16 inch whitewall 700-16 tires for my 1954 3/4 ton truck.

It says "Tube Type" on the description. Can I use without tubes on new 8 lug

steel wheels as tubeless?

you should call coker to be sure, but I know a tubeless tire has a different bead than a tube type and, while you can always run a tube type with a tube on a tubeless rim (after modifying the valve stem hole for the tube) I dont think you can run a tube type without a tube on any type of rim.

I know that coker makes bias look radials in similar sizes, I plan to use them on my 41. they are tubless radials but have the bias pie crust look. you may look them up too.

That tire is designed to use with a tube and won't seal as a tubeless tire. It will work ok on the newer rims but you will need tubes. Those tires are intended for the big Classic cars from the late 30's or the 40's. They should look good on the truck though..

What is your suggestion of whitewall tubeless tire size for 16 inch wheels?

If you are ok with running radials scroll down to page 15 where they have their 16 and 17 inch Sport Fury tires and show a 235-70-16 and a 255-70-16 that might be a bit big.

A lot of custom car guys who would rather run radials run that brand here in the states on their later model (55/65) customs.

Goodrich 2 1/4 inch whitewall 215/65R/16

American Classic 2 inch whitewall 215/70R/16

I found this tires here in istanbul turkey.

It is 205/75/16 or 215/75/16 and narrow whitewall.How does it look with new wheel and moon hubcaps on my truck?

It would be too expensive for me tires coming from Coker.Just take only steel wheels and hub caps. Is it sensible? What do you do?

cost of Coker : 1750 USD ( 5 tires)
cost of here : 330 US ( 5 tires)

Those will look good, they will give it a mid 60's to early 70's look when that size white wall was on all the new cars. Exactly what we would have done in the late 60's if we had taken the truck down to the tire store and had the latest white walls put on it appearance wise.

the 215-75-16 is just a bit taller than a 600-15 bias tire so it should look ok for a stock look.
