Hickey steering wheel?

I just purchased a 70 Jimmy that has some Hickey parts on it and was wondering if this wheel is a Hickey?

Re: Hickey steering wheel?

This Jimmy that the wheel is on was purchased by me from the original owners granddaughter and I have all the paperwork from new...including sales invoice, original blue and gold cali plates, protecto plate and window sticker. Original owner was an off road enthusiast and this Jimmy lived in So Cal all its life and went south of the border to Baja a lot. There are notes that the original owner purchased from Hickey Enterprises and added all the following to the jimmy: sun roof, steering wheel, swing away tire carrier, roll bar with light and handle, front/rear axle trusses, aluminum wheels, skid plates, roof rack, tow hitch, baja lights and spot lights. I will start a new thread Monday when Im off work to show it off. It was the subject of a craigslist find recently.

Re: Hickey steering wheel?

Yes I remember the craigslist find, Lol. What a score!! Steering wheel looks Hickey to me, sure it is with all the other Hickey parts it has. Can you post a pic of the rear axle truss please? I have Hickey extras on my ride also but no rear axle truss, curious to see what it looks like. Thanks

Re: Hickey steering wheel?

I think hickey sold both. However, I do believe that the earlier wheels were moto lita. May be wrong tho. I have the identical steering wheel in a lacerra.

No problem, I can see enough to know what to look for on my hunt for one. Thanks for posting!

As far as your steering wheel, to me its looks identical to the Hickey one posted except for the spoke color and horn button. Yours may have been a special edition with the number 44 on it. IDK - Someone on here may have the answer.
