To run that size wheel you could narrow the rear or keep it stock length & run more offset. The biggest difference between 15's & 17's is the availability of the right size tires in 17's. Pro street 15" tires are pretty easy to come by.

Here is my 68 with AR torq thrust II's 17's on the front and 20x10 on the rear. I wanted a big and little combo, but still modern hot rod.

I'm a Torq Thrust II guy myself, but it may be a bit overdone now. Add some spinners to the wheel just to change it a little...........

Beautiful. TT2's are a timeless design that will never go out of style. That's what I will use on mine in 18's and 20's combo or 18's all around. I know it's not a truck, but here are the TT2's on my old Buick T-Type

17" x 8" all the way round
I put the KMC's on mine that are 17" x 8". I don't know about the back spacing though.
This is the whole truck:

As for the tire sizes, what rim backspacing did you use? Also what tire sizes? That is the look I am after so any help appreciated. Also are you running the stock rear? Or did you narrow it a bit? |

Its a 9" with late model explorer disc brakes, 60" wide.
the rear wheels are 20x10 with a 5" backspacing the fronts are 17x8 with 4.5" bs tires are 245-45-17 and 305-50-20 I placed my tire and wheel in the fender are and then measured for the axle, then ordered it from currie. The rear has a large bridge over the axle because the tire is 32" tall. bags front and rear, More detailed pics on my site. www.hotrodsbyglen.com |

I went with some Cragar S/S's, I don't see many of our trucks with these, and if my truck ever gets together, I think it will be sweet
