What size rally’s? What backspace? You have to compare apples to apples. 15x7 truck rally’s have less backspace than the 15x8 or 15x6.5 version, and usually never rub,... no matter which drop spindle you use. Then there’s aftermarket rally wheels made by Wheel Vintiques. Or the corvette style rally’s that come in truck patterns. Also 5-lug and 6-luv versions. Now there’s rally wheels in larger diameters than the original 15” version. See what I mean?

Re: Drop spindles rub against my rallies
I want to apologize for the inconvenience or delay in my response. My problem was that my 15x6.5 chevy rallies was rub against my dim drop spindles. I couldn't figure out if the rallies rub against the spindles or calipers and thought that i would have replace the spindles or calipers. I keep searching on the site and read on several previous post that several people had to grind down the ears a 1/8 of an inch of the djm drop spindles or add spacers.

Re: Drop spindles rub against my rallies
Yea. I got Belltech Spindles and Springs up front. I'm running van 6's up front. When I first put the Spindles and Springs on the wheels rubbed a little bit. Did a little grinding and they clear fine now.

DJM spindles are horrible. I've had to grind my calipers as well as the spindles at least 1/8". If I were in the market for new spindles I would definately choose a different brand. |
