Tie rod end question

Anyone know if it matters which of these tie rod ends I get. They both say they will fit my 72 k2500. Mine currently have that little elbow on them. Those are twice the price though. Just trying to see if the strait ones will also work thanks

Re: Tie rod end question

Here is what I did.

I ordered all my Moog parts from Jegs. In the order I specified that all left and right pieces come with the same manufacturing batch numbers.

This insures they came from the same factory and all were manufactured to the same specs.

When you use someone like ebay, a parts warehouse facility, or jobber, they will source parts from whom ever and where ever they can save a buck from.

I did a complete on my 3/4 ton rear wheel drive for about 300 bones. All USA made stuff. Just say no to chinwa covid crap.

Re: Tie rod end question

The elbow ones go on the main wheel to wheel tie rod. The other one fits the pitman arm to axle rod.

Re: Tie rod end question

The 375R and L are for the tie rod (between the tires) the 2026 and 2027 fit the steering box (pitman) and steering arm. The 2027 and 2026 have 7/8'' threads while the 375s utilize 3/4'' threads. If you upgrade to the 7/8 on the tie rod, there is a most likely chance that the tubing will rub on the bottom of the leaf spring

Re: Tie rod end question

Agree with Kwmech. First ones are for tie rod. Second ones for the drag link.

Re: Tie rod end question

I got my tie rod ends from NAPA and they were Moog. Some for ball joints.
