Wheels backspacing
I was thinking about buying these wheels for my 72. I have 15x8 Ralleys now. The backspace on these new 15x8 wheels, is 3.75 Do you think these would work good on a 72. Thanks https://www.summitracing.com/parts/uwc-50-5873k

When you go to that aluminum wheel, you may need to change out your studs for longer ones because the thickness of the mounting surface on aluminum wheels typically is greater. |

Re: Wheels backspacing
I tried to use some mockup mags on my truck. Couldn't mount them because the studs were to short. So I'm now in the process of finding some longer studs.
The studs replacing are 1 1/2" from the bottom of the head. Looking for some 2" long from the bottom of the head.

Re: Wheels backspacing
Your 8" truck ralleys should have 4 1/4" back space so picture them 1/2" further out toward the edge of the fender for comparison.

Re: Wheels backspacing
Geezer,
I'm using the rims off my 2012 jeep until I find some I like. Currently the stud is to short and lug would only engage about three threads.
