545 paint on a 71

I just bought a 71 C10. It's white roof and yellow bottom. How do I know what is factory color? There's some with white just along bottom, some with white down side between yellow
Thanks

545 is white over vermillion.

Re: 545 paint on a 71

Some RPOs changed over time as GM changed what colors were available through the model years.
In 67-68, RPO 545 was off white (526) over vermillion (515) in the conventional two tone paint scheme as Steeveedee mentioned.
But RPO 545 disappeared completely in 1969...
Then it returned in 70 as white (521) over yellow (525) in conventional two tone.
Dinger the RPO for deluxe two tone in those colors was 464 (i.e. white between upper and lower trim) (EDIT: the Special Two Tone version of these two colors, i.e. with white top and bottom would be code 595, available in 1970 only). Your truck was originally white top with solid yellow body.
Both trucks below are RPO 545:

It would have been nice to keep those numbers separate for each combination. Sorry about the misinformation.

I completely agree - it can get pretty confusing and I wish they'd have kept the RPOs unique over time.

Another weird example is RPO 511.. In 67 it was dark aqua metallic (a 66 holdover), disappeared in 68, then in 69 it was turquoise metallic, and then in 70-72 it was good ol ochre. 3 different colors in a 5 year span.
