[QUOTE=Chevyman63;3050289 :drama: I have my 11 year old for the week, so I figured a little quality time working on the Blazer would be a good thing.

Side note: I don't know what's going on here but we have had the strangest weather lately. About a week of snow, snow and more snow...then wind for two days then yesterday it got up to 62*...now today's high is 32*...and I was awakened by 50mph wind gusts at 4:30 this morning. :uhmk:[/QUOTE]

Cool on the quality time, that weather just got here...62degrees at lunch break (4AM)

X-mas eve was incredibly windy for us here, no one slept all night due to it, so we got up with the kids @ 5am and started in.

Weather forecast says 50 degrees here today, dropping towards the end of the day.

My son is 11 also...go figure.

I believe the wind here is suppose to die down after 4pm or so...I hope so, I have crap blowing all over the place (well not literally, although it is possible with 2 large dogs).

My son would rather play his Wii than anything else right now, but he is quite interested in cars and trucks. He just needs a little steering in the right direction.

Know it well...my kid has turned on his new DS within 5 minutes of waking up ever since he got it.

We've been working on and running the RC trucks quite a bit though, I've been having him 'wrench' on his own truck whenever it needs stuff, we talked about the pros & cons of having the axles locked up this morning. :chevy:

Good talk...this too sounds familiar.

Re: Got Rust?

Well I didn't get as much time in the shop as I had hoped, but then again I never do. I did get the bushings and sleeves cleaned out of the rear springs and started on the fronts. The fronts should be much quicker than the rears, as they are not OE. Found that one of the rear leaves is broken, so I'll have to do some junkyard shopping soon. Also worked on rigging up an exhaust for my cabinet blaster. I'm hoping this week will net me some major headway in the battle.

Hey guys, thanks for checking up on me.

Just trying to acclimate to life. Things are going pretty good, just haven't had time to work on the Blazer. I did buy a u-bolt flip kit from ORD, I just need to get out in the shop to start putting stuff together.

This has taken up any spare time that I've had, but it's been fun :chevy:

Nice - what are the specs/plan for that? One day I will own a 63-67 Vette...but that is a nice 68-72 model - what year is it?

Love that Vette! Looks great. I want one like Chris Tucker drives in Rush Hour.

Here's some motivation for you... This is probably 3-4 years ago in your front yard...

Re: Got Rust?

Thanks guys, it actually belongs to my 21 year old. He has put a lot of time, not to mention $$ into it.

It has a built 350, but we're not sure exactly what was done, it was bought from a guy that bought and sold Vettes and he wasn't sure what was done to it. We were impressed with the condition of the frame and it does run very good. It was kind of hacked, as far as original goes, dual electric fans, electric fuel pump and some funky gauge setup. But he's happy with it, now we just have to finish up a few more things and it will be road ready.

Just say the word.. I took a job in Chicago, so I'm only home on the weekends. Looks like you'll be busy with the vette for a little bit..

Still driving?

That pic of the Vette is from last fall, it's about 90% finished, just too lazy to brave the cold and take new pics.

Thanks for the bump Tom. I was just talking about getting going on it yesterday, so this will be a little motivation for me to get rolling. The weather here is getting nice...FINALLY.. and that helps too.

Great progress on yours Tom!! Keep up the good work.

Thanks Tom, actually thinking about selling everything and buying something closer to finished. Putting the house up for sale in the spring and I have to eliminate a lot of stuff before I do. Let me know if you need anything.

I need somebody to come down and finish this thing up for me -

I will let you know if I come across anything that I need though.

Thanks.
